Hollingbury Rise, Brighton

Lewis McMillan Architects carried out the design for a ground floor rear extension, landscaping works and a loft conversion. Part of the garden has been excavated and a new retaining wall built to create a patio area accessible from the kitchen. Planters, a bench seat and storage area were all designed into the scheme to create an attractive and functional outdoor space that connects with the new extension and open plan kitchen/dining room. The loft conversion includes a bedroom with dormer window to the rear with Juliet balcony and a shower room. Roof lights on the front elevation add light to the bedroom and natural light over the new staircase.
